Honorable Mention All-CSFL (2013)

As a Senior (2015)
Serving as a captain his senior season, Meichner appeared in all seven games for the Big Red, finishing the season with 22 tackles, including 10 unassisted. He recorded a season-high seven tackles, including four solo hits, at Navy. He also added a pass breakup against Princeton.

As a Junior (2014)
Meichner appeared in all seven games for the Big Red. He made 23 tackles, including 16 solo hits, and broke up one passing play.

As a Sophomore (2013)
Meichner recorded 37 tackles (19 solo) in seven games played. He had one tackle for a loss fo six yard, two fumble recoveries and broke up four pass plays. He also had one kick return for 11 yards and earned All-CSFL honorable mention recognition at the conclusion of the season. 

As a Freshman (2012)
Meichner was a key component of the Big Red defense during his first year on the team, playing in six games and recording 25 tackles. He had a fumble recovery as well as four broken up passes.

Before Cornell
Meichner played four years of football at New Canaan, letting for two years as a safety and running back. His football teams were state runners up in 2010 and 2011, and he was honored with a spot on the Second Team All-County East Defense teamin 2011. Meichner also won the Jim Girard Memorial Sportsmanship Award that year and was a National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete in 2012. He was also a lacrosse midfielder for four years, lettering twice, and an indoor track runner for three years.

Personal
Jared Tyler Meichner is the son of Wayne and Lisa Meichner. He has a younger brother, Justin.
