Biography
At Cornell
Senior (2012): DeSantis played all but one game for Cornell during his senior season, earning valuable minutes on the offensive line and helping the Big Red rushing attack. He was the recipient of the team's Rick Casselman Coaches' Award, given to the seniors who have exhibited unselfish dedication to the sport over their careers.
Junior (2011): DeSantis played in three games as a junior, seeing time against Mansfield, Princeton and Penn.
Sophomore (2010): DeSantis saw action in four games as a sophomore, playing against Mansfield twice, as well as Post and Penn.
Freshman (2009): DeSantis saw action in one game during his rookie season, playing against Mansfield.
At Cathedral Catholic
DeSantis was an offensive tackle on the Cathedral Catholic HS football team for four years, earning two varsity letters. DeSantis helped the team to a section and conference championship in 2007 and a section, conference and state championship in 2008.
Personal
John A. DeSantis is the son of Nicholas and Antoinette DeSantis, and he has one older brother and one older sister. His brother, Daniel '08, was a three-year letterwinner on the sprint football team, and his sister, Patricia is a 2006 graduate of Cornell.
