At Cornell
An impressive athlete with quick feet and good balance, Barbour is a playmaker and game changer. He will again be looked at as the primary ball-carrier in the offensive gameplan. Barbour enters the season just 110 yards away from reaching the 1,000-yard mark. Barbour led the team in all major rushing categories in 2008, including attempts (115), yards (413) and touchdowns (five). Barbour’s best performance came in the opener against Bucknell, where he ran for 114 yards on 23 carries, including a season-long 32 yard scamper. Barbour was named to the Ivy League Honor Roll for his performance in Cornell’s upset victory over Yale when he accounted for 102 total yards and scored a rushing touchdown. He also continued to be a threat as a receiver out of the backfield, catching nine balls for 77 yards on the season. Barbour ran for a team-best 477 yards on 124 carries and six touchdowns during the 2007 season. He also showed his versatility by catching 18 balls for 143 yards and throwing a 6-yard touchdown pass against Yale. Barbour had his best game against Brown, rushing for 159 yards on 32 carries and three touchdowns en route to earning Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week honors. He also totaled 88 yards and a score at Princeton and 69 yards and a touchdown vs. Georgetown. Barbour saw action in all 10 games with seven starts. After dominating on the junior varsity level as a freshman, Barbour saw action in eight varsity contests, primarily on special teams, making five tackles, including three solo stops. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.

At J.O. Johnson
A three-sport athlete at James Oliver Johnson HS, Barbour was a Wendy’s High School Heisman nominee as a senior running back. The team’s most valuable offensive player earned all-city and all-region honors in 2005. He served as the team’s kicker. A regional qualifier and sectional runner-up in both the shot put and discus in track and field, he also played varsity baseball. Barbour was named the Channel 19-TV Athlete of the Month in February of 2006.
