Mayer did not play during his first season with the Big Red.

At Trumbull
A transfer from the University of Miami, Roger Mayer is a graduate of Trumbull HS.  At Trumbull, he won varsity letters in soccer, volleyball and indoor and outdoor track.  Mayer placed 15th in the long jump in the Class LL state track meet as a junior and was named an FCIAC Scholar Athlete as a senior.
