Kim Standridge

All-American and school record holder Kim Standridge ’11 will serve as a volunteer coach for the Big Red during the 2011-12 season. A team captain during her decorated career in track and cross country as an undergraduate, Standridge will work closely with the women’s middle distance runners while continuing to train for a spot in the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials.

A four-time Heps runner-up in the 800, Standridge was an ECAC champion in the distance medley relay, the Cornell school record holder in the 1000 and sits third all-time in school history in the 800. She earned All-America honors by virtue of her ninth-place finish at the 2010 NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore.

A 2011 graduate of Cornell, Standridge earned a degree in Communication and minor in Applied Economics and Management from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. While at Cornell, Standridge served as the Community Service Chair for the Spiked Shoe Society, the editor for the track team’s alumni newsletter, The Wastebasket, was a member of the Red Key Athletic Honorary Society and the Quill and Dagger Senior Honor Society.
