As a Junior (2019-20)
• Competed in three meets with three different events; the 3000, 5000 and the mile.
• Ran at the Iona Meet of Champions (9/20).
As a Sophomore (2018-19)
• Did not compete in any outdoor meets.
• Ran in six indoor meets, earning three PRs.
• Found a mile PR at the Cornell Upstate Challenge (1/18-19) with a time of 5:12.78, a 5000m PR at the Penn State National (1/25-26) with a time of 17:28.35 and a 3000m PR at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational (2/8-9) with a time of 10:12.46.
• Ran in six cross country meets.
• Placed 2nd at the UB Stampede XC Invite on Sep. 14.
• Finished with a 6k PR at the Paul Short Gold (9/29) with a time of 21:35.3.
• Secured a 44th place finish at the Ivy League Cross Country Heptagonals (10/27).
• Competed in the NCAA Division I Cross Country Regionals (11/9) and finished 22nd out of 243 runners.
As a Freshman (2017-18)
• Placed eighth in the 10,000 meters at the ECAC Outdoor Championships (36:24.16).
• Netted five top-five finishes throughout the season.
• Runner-up in the 3000 at the Upstate Challenge (10:23.26) and 5000 (17:46.82) at the Big Red Outdoor Invitational.
• Saw much action on the cross country course during her freshman season, running in five competitive meets.
• Kicked off her season by taking 24th at the quad meet with Columbia, Brown and NYU and then went on to take 94th in the open race at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown.
• At the Paul Short Run, placed 19th in the open race 112th overall at the Penn State National Open.
• Closed out her first cross country season finishing ninth at the Reif Memorial Run.
Prior to Cornell
• A rapidly improving runner, Isabella placed 16th at the highly competitive California state cross country meet in a 5K best of 18:04.
• She has a PR of 10:49.15 for 3200 meters on the track.
Personal
• Isabella "Izzie" Marie Dobson is the daughter of Christopher and Mona Dobson.
• She has two younger sisters, Katherine and Emma.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
