Kayleigh Lavender's up-to-date results
As a Senior (2016-17)
Lavendar competed in nine meets during her senior season, earning 12 top 10 finishes total. Indoors, had a second place finish in the 600 at the Cornell Cabin Fever Invitational with a collegiate-bet 1:39.10 and also placed fifth in the event at the Southern Tier Collegiate Open. Lavender was also a member of two fifth place relay squads – 4x800 and Distance Medley Relay – at the Greg Page Relays. Outdoors, Lavender took third in the 400 at the Ithaca College Tuesday Meet with a collegiate-best 1:01.23 and was a member of the first place 4x400 relay at the Big Red Outdoor Invitational.Â
As a Junior (2015-16)
Lavender competed in the mid-distance events as a junior, finishing a season-best second in the 600 meters at the Marc Deneault Invitational. She posted five top-10 invidual finishes during the indoor season and one in the outdoor season.
As a Sophomore (2014-15)
Lavender competed in three events as a sophomore, running as a member of the 4x800 relay team, which finished fifth at the outdoor Bucknell Invitational.Â
As a Freshman (2013-14)
Lavender ran in three races this season, placing 43rd at the meet against Army (21:37.9), 83rd at the Anderson Invitational (20:46.6) and 47th at the Reif Memorial Run (20:52.2).
Lavender was an immediate contributor in the middle distances in her debut season. The majority of her races came at the 800 and 1000 distances. She marked her best 1000 at the Robert J. Kane Invitational, posting a time of 3:08.63 in a 7th place finish. She scored a 2nd place finish in the 800 at the Ithaca College Quad Meet the following week. She concluded the indoor season with her best 800 of 2:19.47 in a 7th place finish at the Deneault Memorial. Outdoors, she exclusively ran the 800, marking her best finish (9th) at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational.
Before Cornell
A top middle distance runner in New York’s capitol region and a state finalist, Lavender has tremendous range, having run 57.8 for 800 meters, 1:37 for 600, 2:15.54 for 800, 3:04 for 1000 and 4:47.76 for the 1500. She is a three-time Suburban Council All-Star and a school record-holder in five events.
