As a Senior (2011)
Parker made her senior year count, as she was a consistent member of the scoring group for the Big Red cross country team. She started the year placing fifth at the Army-Binghamton tri-meet, took 14th at the Colgate Invitational, finished in the top 100 that the Paul Short Run and 65th overall at the Pre-National Meet before running an impressive 17th at the Heptagonal Championships to close out the Big Red's scoring. She ended her Cornell cross country career placing 42nd at the NCAA Northeast Regional, good enough to score for her team.

As a Freshman, Sophomore and Junior (2008-10)
Parker had a breakout junior year, earning team most improved honors in both cross country and track.  At the indoor ECACs, Parker was twice an Eastern champion, winning the 1000 meter run just an hour after anchoring the Distance Medley Relay to Cornell’s first title in the event in over ten years.  One of the East’s very best middle distance runners, Parker was a Heps scorer both indoors and outdoors, and she also proved to be an integral part of the cross country team’s top five throughout the fall and has earned All-East honors three times in her career.  In addition to setting personal bests in every event during track, Parker qualified for the First Round of the NCAA Championships in the 1500, where she placed an impressive 25th.

Before Cornell
Parker was a first-team All-Shore selection in cross country and was a five-time Central New Jersey Group IV state champion in track and field, earning three titles in the spring and two indoors. She also served as captain for both the cross country and indoor track squads.

Personal
Janel Lynn Parker is the son of Glenn and Joann Parker and has a younger brother and an older sister. She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
