As a Freshman (2013-14)
Naeher had a solid freshman season, racing to a 4th place finish in her first collegiate 6K at the Princeton Open (23:12.0). She started the season with a 19:32.0 5K finish at the Moakley Course against Army and placed 13th at the Anderson Invitational. Her final race of the season came at the Reif Memorial Run, where she placed 11th with a time of 18:24.1.
Following a successful first season on cross country, Naeher was a solid contributor in the middle distances for the Big Red. She posted a personal best 800 of 2:20.35 in a 6th place finish at the Robert J. Kane Invitational. The following week she posted a career best mile of 5:06.62 to finish 48th at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine. She concluded her season with a strong showing in the 1000. Naeher posted a 1st place finish at the Bomber Invitational. She ran a personal best 1000 of 2:57.99 in a 2nd place showing at the Deneault Memorial. Her strong run at the Deneault qualified her for the Indoor ECAC’s, where she took a 22nd place finish.
Before Cornell
The captain of the cross country and track teams at Kings Park HS, Naeher is also a school record holder and twice qualified for the New York State meet. With personal bests of 2:59 in the 1000 and 4:45 in the 1500, Naeher was also one of the top cross country runners in New York state as a junior and senior.

Kathleen Ann Naeher is the daughter of Matthew '86 and Nancy Naeher. She has a younger brother, Matthew. Naeher is enrolled in the the College of Human Ecology.Â
