As a Junior (2012-13)Lloyd did not run cross country in 2012. On the track, Lloyd ran indoors and competed at the Indoor Hpes on the Big Red's 4x880-yard team as the anchor leg. Cornell took fifth in that race. She also ran the 800 by herself, coming in 21st place.
Lloyd competed strictly indoors in her final season at Cornell. She kicked off the season at the Nittany Lion Challenge, posting a personal best 1000 time of 2:49.92 to finish 5
th. Her best 800 time of the season came at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine where she posted a 2:09.80 in an 11
th place finish. She concluded her career at the Indoor Heps, helping the 4x8 relay team to a 7
th place finish, while coming in 12
th in the 800.
As a Sophomore (2011-12)Lloyd took ninth place in the prelims of the 800 at the Indoor Heps, but her part in the 4x800 relay was more successful as the team took second place with Lloyd running the third leg. An even better fate awaited Lloyd and the Big Red at the Indoor ECACs when they won the 4x800 with a time of 8:50.52. Lloyd was also part of a third-place Big Red squad in the distance medley relay at the Indoor ECACs. Her part in an 8:45.20 4x800 relay broke the school record. Her time of 2:07.18 is the third-fastest mark in school history in the 800 indoors.
As a Freshman (2010-11)Lloyd had a fantastic freshman year, scoring at both the indoor and outdoor Heps in the 800 while setting school freshman records in her specialty. Lloyd qualified for the ECACs in both the 800 and the 1000 and also earned All-East honors at the indoor ECACs in the 4x800.
Before CornellLloyd was the 2010 Oregon 6A state champion at 800 meters.
PersonalLauren Jean Lloyd is the daughter of Jeff and Karyn Lloyd and has a sister. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
