As a Senior (2015-16)
McCormick ran in five cross country races as a senior. Her best finish was a sixth-place run at the John Reif Memorial.
On the track, she continued to compete in the distance events, placing second in the 3K at the Cornell Sunday Invitational. Outdoors, she qualified for ECAC Championships in the 10K.
As a Junior (2014-15)
McCormick did not compete in any cross country events as a junior, but on the track, McCormick finished third in the 3000 (10:28.38), helping the Big Red to a team win at the Upstate Challenge.
As a Sophomore (2013-14)
McCormick ran in three 5K races this season, beginning with a 30th place finish at the season-opener against Army. She also placed 31st at the Anderson Invitational and 23rd at the Reif Memorial Run (19:17.2).
McCormick participated primarily in distance races, while also sprinkling in a few middle distance races in her second season. She posted a career best 3000 time of 10:40.66 in a 12
th place finish at the Deneault Memorial. She concluded her year at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational, marking a personal best 5000 time of 18:37.81 to finish 14
th.
As a Freshman (2012-13)
McCormick did not run cross country during her first year at Cornell, but she came out to a strong start on the track. She had a seasonal best of 2:30.92 in the 800 at the Deneault Invitaitonal indoors. She also ran a 5:23.92 mile at the same meet. In the 3K, which she ran three times, McCormick had a best time of 10:41.96.
Before Cornell
McCormick has been among the most versatile and accomplished runners in New York state throughout her high school career. A state qualifier in track, she also helped lead her high school team to national prominence in cross country. A Nike National Cross Country Nationals individual qualifier, Meghan has personal bests of 4:38.15 for 1500 and 10:03 for 3000 meters.
Personal
Meghan Cantwell McCormick is the daughter of Kevin McCormick and Catherine Cantwell. She has three older brothers -- Nicholas, Matthew and Patrick -- and a sister, Kathleen, who will be joining her on the Cornell cross country and track teams.
