As a Sophomore (2021-22)

• Competed in four cross country events
• Clocked a 23:54.5 for 68th at Paul Short's open race
• Ran a season-best 20:04.8 5K at the John Reif Memorial where she finished 11th

Prior to Cornell

• Helped her Metuchen HS cross country team to three-straight state group titles (2016-18) and four-consecutive sectional championships (2015-18).
• Named to the 2017 NJSIAA Cross Country All-State Group 1 team.
• Earned a spot on the 2017 All-Middlesex County Team for cross country.
• On the track, helped Metuchen to an indoor sectional championship in 2017 and back-to-back outdoor sectional championships in 2016 and 2017.
• Three-time 3200-meter sectional champion (2017, 2018, 2019).
• Two-time 1600-meter sectional champion (2017, 2018).
• Served as team captain of her Metuchen cross country team as a junior and senior, also captaining the track and field team as a senior.
• Named Metuchen’s Most Valuable Track Performer in 2018 and 2019.
• Earned NJSIAA Scholar-Athlete distinction in 2019, going on to serve as her school’s valedictorian. 

Personal

• Nina Olivia Suss is the daughter of Eric and Janet Suss and has an older sister.
• Her father, Eric, is a 1986 Cornell alumnus.
• Her sister, Rachel, ran track and field and cross country for Ivy League foe Yale from 2016-20.
• She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
