At Cornell
Shi has seen limited action over her first three seasons, but will attempt to end her career with a bang in 2010. Shi will continue to push for a spot in the bars lineup, and she is also very strong on beam, where she could earn a starting position as well. She is enrolled in Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

In Secondary School
A graduate of James Bowie HS, Shi was a regional bars and all-around champion and was a TOPS Testing Qualifier. She won the National Honor Award and the Texas Merit Award from the Gymnastics Association of Texas, as well as two honor awards from the Texas USA Gymnastics State Board. In high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society and the University Interscholastic League Math Team, was the student council president, the yearbook co-editor in chief and won awards for outstanding student and for academic excellence.
