Did not see varsity action ... earned Gymnastics East Conference Scholar Athlete honors.
2020-21 I SOPHOMORE SEASON
Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2019-20 I FRESHMAN SEASON
Competed on the balance beam for three meets on the season ... made her varsity debut with an 8.9 on the balance beam on Feb. 2 ... averaged an 8.833 on the beam.
PRIOR TO CORNELL
Was a three-year Level 10 gymnast, closing her career with Buckeye Gymnastics .. member of the 2019 Ohio state championship team and was an individual regional qualifier ... placed fourth at the 2018 Connecticut state championships and was a regional qualifier on beam ... was the 2014 Level 9 Ohio state silver medalist on beam and floor ... also competed in track and field, where she was a two-year state qualifier in the pole vault ... ranked second in the state in the Class of 2019 with a personal-best of 10 feet ... two-time all-conference and academic all-conference.
PERSONAL
Madeleine Isabella Watson is the daughter of Thomas and Bridget Watson and has a younger sister and brother ... she is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the SC Johnson College of Business.
