2023-24 | SOPHOMORE SEASON
Made USAG Collegiate Nationals finals on beam to grab first team All-American honors for first time in Big Red career ... also earned first team GEC All-Conference on beam ... made anchored beam lineup in each competition during second season on East Hill, achieving team's highest NQS score of 9.840 in event ... earned three consecutive silver placings on beam against Bridgeport, at Chelli Calloway Invitational, and at Penn quad meet with Bridgeport and William & Mary ... posted a 9.850 at Ivy Classic  to help Big Red set a new program record of 48.450 in event ... achieved season and career-best 9.900 on beam against Centenary to earn gold ... followed with 9.850 against West Chester ... posted nine scores of 9.8 or better.

2022-23 I FRESHMAN SEASON
Earned second-team GEC All-Conference honors on beam ... qualified as an individual for the USAG Collegiate Nationals on beam ... earned GEC Newcomer of the Week for week four ... had the team's top NQS on beam (9.775) ... tied for second on beam against Penn ... finished third at the Ivy Classic on beam with a 9.800 ... posted eight scores of 9.7 or better, including three 9.800 performances ... was in the beam lineup in each competition during the season.

PRIOR TO CORNELL
Five-year level 10 state qualifying gymnast who competed at Newman Gymnastics and Newnan HS ...won back-to-back state titles on beam as a junior and senior ... also claimed second on bars and the all-around and third on vault in 2022 ... finished in the top 15 at the state USAG meet in all four events and the all-around in 2021.

PERSONAL
Mikayla Denise Burton is the daughter of Ruby Burton and has an older sister ... she is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
