As a junior (2020-21)
• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a sophomore (2020)
• Competed in eight of the nine meets on the season
• Notched a 9.825 for a new high score on the floor at the Tumble and Rumble
• Averaged a 9.385 on the vault and a 9.304 on the floor
As a freshman (2019)
• Won the vault title at the ECAC Championship with a career-best 9.825.
• Had eight vaults that scored 9.7 or better on the season, including a 9.775 at the USAG Collegiate Nationals - good for eighth.
• Her 9.720 national qualifying score on vault ranked second on the team.
• Her 9.725 vault at the Ivy Classic placed her 12th.
• Started in five meets on floor with a best score of 9.600 at Bridgeport.
Prior to Cornell
• Maughan was a two-year Level 10 Junior Olympic national qualifier while attending Farmingdale HS.
• Was second in the region on vault and fifth on both floor and in the all-around in 2018 after finishing third in the state on vault.
• Placed second on vault and floor, fourth in the all-around and fifth on bars in the region in 2017.
• Reached the podium on vault and in the all-around at the state meet in 2017.
• Was a Junior Olympics alternate in 2016 at Level 10.
• Was the state and region vault and all-around champion in 2015 at the Level 9 meets.
Personal
• Sarah Marina Maughan is the daughter of Kevin and Connie Maughan and has two younger sisters.
• She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
