Sophomore Season — 2012
Groark made three appearances in her second season on East Hill. She debuted on Sept. 7 at Colgate, then also competed Sept. 16 at La Salle and Oct. 2 vs. Lafayette in her first home appearance.

Freshman Season — 2011
Groark appeared in two games off the bench, playing Sept. 7 against Colgate and Oct. 15 at Yale.

Before Cornell
A four-year starter and three-year captain, Groark helped her team to the league finals twice during her high school career. A four-time all-county and all-conference honoree, she was a four-time most valuable player and recipient of the Coaches Award. Groark ranked in the top 10 on Long Island in points each of her four seasons while also ranking among the top six in goals in each of her last three years. She also ran track and field while at John Glenn, earning all-county honors four times.

Personal
Melissa Lynn Groark is the daughter of James and Linda Groark and has a younger brother and two younger sisters. She has a cousin who plays softball at George Washington University. Groark is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
