Biography
Prior to Cornell
Nelson brings 13 years of show jumping experience to the Big Red. She has competed internationally and helped earn a 3rd place team finish in the 1.20 Nations Cup at Spruce Meadows in 2014. In addition, Nelson notched multiple wins and championships at Tyron National Equestrian Center in 2015. Nelson earned two varsity softball letters in high school, was a member of the National Honor Society, and made Deans List her Junior and Senior year.
Personal
Jennifer Lynn Nelson is the daughter of Steve Sletner and Majorie Nelson and has an older sister, Juliet. Nelson chose Cornell because of the campus and the top notch Animal Science program. She plays Polo because she loves a challenge and is excited to have fun this year with great friends, great horses, and great coaches. Nelson intends to major in Animal Science and pursue a career as an Agriculture Consultant. Jennifer Nelson is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
