Prior to CornellGruenberg was on the rowing team at Shaker HS, holding down the eight seat in the boat for four years.

Kate Elizabeth Gruenberg is the daughter of David and Wendy Gruenberg and has a brother and sister. Her father is a 1969 Cornell graduate, while her sister Elka graduated from Cornell in 1969. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
