Why I Chose Cornell: I chose Cornell because I wanted to challenge myself academically and athletically.
Prior to Cornell
Giancola attended the Park School of Buffalo. She coxed all four years of high school for the West Side Rowing Club, earning two gold medals in the junior B 8+ and junior A 4+ at the Canadian Henley.
Personal
Abby Giancola is the daughter of Vince and Tammy Giancola, and her older sister, Sarah, competes for the US Lightweight national team. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, majoring in interdisciplinary studies.
