Bellows earned two varsity letters in rowing at Pine Crest School. In 2008, she rowed to a second place finish at the Florida State Championships in the lightweight eight.

Alexandra Lynn Bellows is the daughter of Greg and Karen Bellows and she has one younger sister. She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
