Biography
Why Kastenberg Chose Cornell: “I chose Cornell because it has everything I dreamt of in a school. Cornell has interesting and original courses taught by outstanding professors along with big sports teams and a spirited student body. It’s big enough that there is always something fun going on, but small enough that you know people and feel comfortable everywhere you go.”
At Cornell
As a junior, Kastenberg rowed in the varsity four B that took sixth overall at the 2015 Ivy League Women’s Rowing Championship. In her first season with the Big Red, Kastenberg rowed in the third varsity eight that took fourth place at the 2013 Ivy League Women's Rowing Championship.
Prior to Cornell
Kastenberg lettered four times in rowing at Haddonfield Memorial high school, captaining the team during her junior and senior years. She was also a member of the Penn AC rowing club. Kastenberg also lettered once in field hockey.
Personal
Anna Zarina Kastenberg is the daughter of David and Jill Kastenberg and has one older brother, two younger brothers, one older sister, and one younger sister. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
