Biography

As a Freshman (2019-20)

• Rowed with the “C” boat during round one of the Princeton Chase, finishing with a time of 16:41.944.
• Competed with the “B” boat during round two of the Princeton Chase, finishing in a time of 17:24.324.
• Rowing in the “C” fours boat at the Cornell Autumn Classic, finished in 14:53.32.
• Finished in seventh place at the Cornell Autumn Classic rowing in the “C” eights boat that crossed the line in 14:04.94.

Prior to Cornell

• Four-year varsity rower at Phillips Exeter Academy
• First place in the Grand Final at NEIRAS in 2016
• Placed in the 1V 8+ Grand Final for PEA at NEIRAS in 2017, 2018, and 2019
• Selected for the Head of the Charles Women's Youth 4+ in 2017 and 2019
• Selected for the Head of the Charles Women's Youth 8+ in 2018
• PennAC Club Rowing: Medalled at US Rowing Club Nationals in the U17 8+ in 2016
• Attended USRowing High Performance/Selection Camp 2018
• 2019 U.S. Presidential Scholar Finalist, U.S. Department of Education
• Graduated Cum Laude and highest honors at Phillips Exeter Academy
• 2019 National Merit Finalist
• 2019 Phillips Exeter Academy Science Prize for Academic Achievement
• 2019 Phillips Exeter Academy Economics Prize for Best Attitude and Approach at the Harkness Table
• Also a member of the Phillips Exeter Academy varsity swim team, specializing in the 200 and 500 yard freestyle

• Christine Baker is the daughter of Susan and Jeff Baker and has two older siblings, JB and Blair
