At Cornell
Liz Dennison transitioned into a newly created role of Associate Director of Rowing in August 2017. Her new role will entail the supervision of the interim head women's coach and the Boatman, coordinating the training information among the rowing coaches on staff, establishing a budget and facilities strategy for Cornell Rowing, and more.
In February of 2015, Dennison became the fourth Staley Head Coach of Women’s Rowing at Cornell University. She assumed the position after spending less than six months as the interim head coach. Prior to that, she spent a combined five seasons serving as first an assistant coach, and eventually the associate head coach for the program.
Dennison, who began her time on East Hill in August of 2009, has proved to be an integral part of Cornell’s current success and will look to take the program to new heights in seasons to come.
During her time at Cornell, she helped the Big Red to five consecutive appearances in the CRCA/USRowing Preseason Coaches' Poll from 2011 to 2015.
Under her direction, Cornel has won three cups, took fifth-place at the 2015 Ivy League Women's Rowing Championship, and made its first-ever trip to participate in the Henley Women's Regatta.
Big Red rowers have found success both on and off the water, with one CRCA All-American, three CRCA Region 1 selections, 13 CRCA Scholar Athletes, and two Academic All-Ivy selections.
