Biography
Gehman on Ewing: Emily is a hard worker and is committed to rowing. We are excited to have her as a part of the Big Red next year, and look forward to seeing her make an impact on the team throughout her four years at Cornell.
At Cornell
Ewing rowed in the second varsity eight crew as a junior, helping the crew to win the Petite Finals and take seventh overall at the 2014 Ivy League Women's Rowing Championship. As a sophomore, Ewing rowed in the varsity four boat that finished in seventh place finish at the 2013 Ivy League Women's Rowing Championship, before taking 17th overall at the 2013 NCAA Women’s Rowing Championship.
Prior to Cornell
Ewing competed in rowing for five years at the Taft School. She was named all-league in 2010 and won the team’s Hammer Award for best erg time that same season. Ewing captained the team her senior season. She was also a member of the GMS rowing club.
Personal
Emily Katherine Ewing is the daughter of John and Mary Ewing and she has an older sister and younger brother. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
