Biography
At Cornell
McGuire rowed in the Varsity 4 during her junior year.
At City Honors School
McGuire rowed for five years at City Honors School, earning one varsity letter. She won four straight gold medals at the New York State championships from 2005-08. McGuire helped her junior-8 boat to a sixth place finish at the 2007 Head of the Charles, after an eighth place finish in 2006. She won bronze medals in both the junior-4 and junior-8 at the 2007 US Club Nationals and rowed to a gold medal in the junior-4 at the 2006 Canadian Henley Royal Regatta. McGuire also lettered once in swimming.
Personal
Frances Margaret McGuire is the daughter of Don McGuire and Martha Malamud. Both of her parents attended Cornell for graduate school. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
