Biography
Why Seehaus Chose Cornell: Cornell stood out to me as being an incredibly spirited, friendly, and welcoming school. It has a competitive, yet down-to-earth atmosphere that I liked. I knew that Cornell was the school I needed in order to reach my full potential as both a student and an athlete.

At Cornell
• Will serve as team captain for the 2018-19 campaign.

As a junior (2017-18)
• Rowed in the varsity eight during her junior season.
Â
As a sophomore (2016-17)
• Began her sophomore season as a member of the varsity eight against Yale.
• Finished the remainder of the season as a member of the second varsity eight.
• Helped row the second varsity eight to victory over Dartmouth.
As a freshman (2015-16)Â
• In her freshman season, Seehaus rowed in the third varsity eight.
• The crew defeated Princeton, Radcliffe and Dartmouth and also defeated Boston University by open water in a race at Brown.
Prior to Cornell
• Rowed four years with the Nereid Boat Club in Rutherford, N.J.
• Had a 10th place finish at the 2013 Youth National Championships, before she earned third place honors at the 2015 Scholastic Rowing Association of America National Championships.
• Also a two-time winner of the Ironmen Erg Classic.

Personal
• Georgia Elizabeth Seehaus is the daughter of Evan and Laura Seehaus and she has two sisters.
• Her cousin, Ed Kelly, is one of the Big Red’s assistant athletic trainers working primarily with the men’s ice hockey team.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
