Why Marks Chose Cornell: I chose Cornell because of the ability to pursue my academic interests at an incredibly high level and the amazing team culture and atmosphere. The Cornell community is supportive and lively, and the combination of the people I met, the classes I sat in on, the beautiful setting, and the team atmosphere is perfect for me. I'm also excited to continue the legacy of my parents, grandparents, and uncle.
 
At Cornell
As a junior (2019-20)
• Coxed with the “A” boat during round one of the Princeton Chase, finishing in a team-best 15:44.198.
• Coxed with the “C” boat during round two of the Princeton Chase, crossing the finish line in 17:13.992.
• Coxed in the “C” fours boat at the Cornell Autumn Classic, finished in 14:53.32.

As a sophomore (2018-19)
• Coxed the second varsity eight during her sophomore season.
• Helped the second varsity eight defeat Dartmouth at the Parents Cup.
• Took sixth at the Ivy League Championships where the second varsity eight competed in the Grand Finals.

As a freshman (2017-18)
• Coxed the second varsity eight throughout her freshman season.
• Helped the second varsity eight defeat Navy.

Prior to Cornell
• Earned three varsity letters coxing for Hanover High School.
• Served as team captain as a senior.
• Won three New Hampshire State Championships (2014, 2016, 2017).
• Led the varsity eight to a 10th place finish at the 2016 New England Interscholastic Rowing Association Championship and an 11th place finish the following season.
• Helped the second varsity eight to a sixth place finish at the 2015 NEIRA Championship.
• Also competed with the Upper Valley Rowing Foundation.
• Earned two varsity letters in volleyball.
 
Personal
• Hannah Rose Marks is the daughter of Cornell alumni Jeff ’91 and Karen Marks ’91 and she has a younger brother and sister.
• In addition to her parents, her grandparents, Stan and Harriet Rosenberg, and her uncle, Eric Rosenberg, all graduated from Cornell.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
