Biography
Why McNutt Chose Cornell: I chose Cornell for its outdoor friendly message, its optimal education opportunities, and its ability to get me where I want to go. Some of the most influential people in my life have graduated from Cornell, and if I can turn out a little bit like them, I will consider it a success.

At Cornell
As a sophomore (2015-16)
• Split time between the second varsity eight and the varsity four A during her sophomore season.
• Helped the second varsity eight to an open-water victory over Boston University in a race at Brown.
• Following the season, she was named a CRCA National Scholar Athlete.Â
As a freshman (2014-15)
• As a freshman, McNutt rowed in the varsity four B that took sixth overall at the 2015 Ivy League Women’s Rowing Championship.
Prior To Cornell
• Rowed for three years with the Dayton Boat Club, helping her crew to a 10th place finish at the 2013 USRowing Youth Nationals.
• Also lettered twice in volleyball.Â
Personal
• JoAnna Lynn McNutt is the daughter of Ross and Stacy McNutt and she has one older brother, as well as a twin sister who rows and plays rugby for Ohio State.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
