Biography

Why Perez Chose Cornell: When I first visited campus, I could instantly picture myself at Cornell. Cornell offers me the opportunity to grow academically and athletically, pairing a prestigious school with a competitive rowing team. The huge course variety was very attractive to me, and I know it will help me choose my major. The coaches and team welcomed me, and I can’t wait to become part of both the rowing family and the international Cornell network.

At Cornell
Junior (2015-16): Perez rowed in the varsity four B and the varsity four A during her junior season. The crew opened the year with a victory over Penn and UMass at the Doc Hosea Invitational Regatta.

Sophomore (2014-15): During her sophomore season, Perez rowed in the third varsity eight that placed fifth at the 2015 Ivy League Women’s Rowing Championship. She also rowed in the third varsity eight that defeated Dartmouth during the regular season.

Freshman (2013-14): As a freshman, Perez rowed in the third varsity eight that finished sixth overall at the 2014 Ivy League Women’s Rowing Championship.

Prior to Cornell
A four-time varsity letter winner at Georgetown Visitation Prep , Perez also rowed for the Thompsons Boat Center. She helped TBC Racing to a first-place finish in the Girls Eight and Four at the Occoquan Chase and the Head of the Occoquan, as well as a second-place finish in the Girls Eight at the Head of the Schuylkill. Perez’s crew also took seventh place in the Girls Eight at the Head of the Charles. Perez also lettered three time in tennis at Georgetown Visitation Prep, earning All-Met honorable mention in 2011.
