Cornell University Athletics

As a junior (2020-21)

• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a sophomore (2019-20)

• Competed in eight regattas as a senior, including at the coed conference championship in the fall.
• Was skipper for B division at the War Memorial as Cornell took 11th.
• Skippered A division as the Big Red took second at the Boehringer Memorial Regatta and B division at the Rogers Memorial Regatta.
• In the lead seat as Cornell took second at the SUNY Maritime Fall Open.
• Was part of both of the Big Red's Team Race entries.

As a freshman (2018-19)

• Earned second-team All-MAISA skipper honors.
• Skippered the Big Red to a win at the Jack Boehringer Memorial, the Jen Harris Women's and the Susan B. Rogers '75 Memorial
• Competed in the fall conference championships at the MAISA Women's.
• Sailed for the Big Red at the Prosser Trophy and the America Trophy, helping Cornell qualify for coed nationals.
• Skippered Cornell at the Sperry Women's Western Semifinals, helping Cornell to the finals, where she competed as both skipper and crew separately.
• Also part of the B division entry in the Coed National Semis.
• Competed in 14 total events.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Was a two year captain of the Buckingham Browne and Nichols School varsity sailing team.
• Placed fifth at 29er National Championships and was the top all female team.
• Took first place in B division of Massachusetts states for BB&N. 
• Earned third place finish at 29er North American championships and was top female skipper.
• Captured first place in A division of Mass Bay League championships for BB&N as part of the first place team.
• Was assistant captain off the hockey team as a senior.
 

Personal

• Brooke Harris Shachoy is the daughter of Christopher and Meredith '91 Shachoy and has two younger brothers.
• Her mother, maternal grandparents, aunt and uncle are all Cornell graduates.
• She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
