Cornell University Athletics

As a sophomore (2017-18)

• Competed in seven varsity regattas.
• Crewed A Division as the Big Red took second at the Jack Boehringer Memorial Regatta.
• Was part of the crew in three Team Race League events.
 

As a freshman (2016-17)

• Competed in five varsity regattas as a freshman.
• Made her collegiate debut at the SUNY Maritime Open, crewing the B division boat that had seven top three race finishes, including three wins.
• Sailed A division at the Greater NY Dinghy and the Hoyt Trophy regattas.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Selley competed in numerous regional and national regattas while sailing for the Annapolis Yacht Club and Severn Sailing Association summer race teams.
• She placed as high as third at the 2013 Baker National Team Race championship in 2013 and eighth in 2014.
• Was part of a team that placed seventh at the Mallory National Fleet Race Championship in 2014.
• Selley served as team captain her senior year while attending Broadneck HS.
 

Personal

• Katherine Rose Selley is the daughter of Chris Selley '91 and Nicole Luecke '91 and has two younger brothers.
• Both her parents attended Cornell.
• She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
