Biography

As a senior (2019-20)

• Competed in five regattas as a senior, including at the coed conference championship in the fall.
• Helped the Big Red take fourth at the season-opening Kings Point Women's Regatta.

As a junior (2018-19)

• Helped Cornell qualify for women's nationals after sailing four A division races at the MAISA women's.
• Sailed B division at the Sperry Women's National Semifinals, then again in the finals.
• Competed in the fall conference championships at the MAISA Women's and War Memorial.
• Part of the victorious group at the MAISA Team Race Challenge.
• Sailed in eight varsity regattas.
 

As a sophomore (2017-18)

• Competed in four varsity regattas during the season.
• Crewed the A Division entry as the Big Red won the Cazenovia Fall Open.
• Helped Cornell to a 12-3 record to win the Washington College Team Race.
 

As a freshman (2016-17)

• Competed in three varsity regattas as a freshman.
• Crewed A division in helping Cornell win the Cazenovia Open with seven first place finishes in 10 races.
• Also competed at the Boehringer Memorial Regatta and the Hoyt Trophy.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Sannino was a four-year member of the sailing team at Mattituck HS.
• Served as team captain as a senior.
• She also competed in track and field in the throws.
 

Personal

• Miranda Leigh Sannino is the daughter of Anthony and Lisa Sannino and has two sisters and a brother.
• She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
