Senior Season — 2016
For a second straight year, Joyce led the team in minutes played (1,484) while helping cement the team's central defense and serving as a tri-captain. She split the team's Best Defending Player honors with Zoe McCormick, and she earned her second career assist on Tess Pullano's strike on Sept. 4 against Syracuse.
Junior Season — 2015
Joyce played a huge role in the Big Red's standout defensive season, anchoring the back line and appearing in all 17 games as a central defender alongside Zoe McCormick. Her 1,600 minutes played led the team. Joyce helped Cornell post 12 clean sheets, which tied a single-season program record. Joyce, who also came forward as a threat on set pieces, earned her first collegiate point on Sept. 20 by assisting Elizabeth Crowell's goal in a 1-0 victory over Binghamton.
Sophomore Season — 2014
Joyce was primarily a reserve on the back line, making three starts and appearing in 11 games. She directed one shot on goal Oct. 13 at St. Bonaventure.
Freshman Season — 2013
Joyce was one of a handful of freshmen that saw significant playing time for the Big Red, most often paired with junior Kelly Abrams in central defense and moving forward on set pieces to direct eight shots toward goal. Joyce was one of just two freshmen to start all of the team's 16 games (Dempsey Banks is the other), and just one of five players on the entire team to start every game.
Prior to Cornell
Joyce competed with Beadling Soccer Club, which won the PA West championship in 2010 and 2012, and a bronze medal in the USYSA National Championship in 2010. She was also a four-year letterwinner at Oakland Catholic High School, where she was a two-time all-section honoree and a two-time captain. Joyce also competed in track & field for three years and is a three-time junior state champion in USSA ski racing. At Oakland Catholic, she had stints as the class treasurer, executive historian and executive vice president. She was also a four-time Joan of Arc Society Scholar, a member of the National Honor Society, and received the Society of Women Engineers Highest Honor and President’s Gold Award.
