Biography
At Cornell
Lewis scored a goal in the Big Red's 3-0 victory over Siena on Sept. 14 as a senior, then later added an assist in the 3-1 loss at Dartmouth on Nov. 3. In her final season at Cornell, she appeared in 15 games, making 13 starts. Lewis recovered from an injury during her sophomore campaign to appear in 10 games for the Big Red as a junior, making five starts. She scored Cornell’s goal in a 2-1 loss to Columbia on Sept. 22. She saw time in only three games as a sophomore after appearing in 14 games as a freshman, starting twice. She scored her first collegiate goal in her first season against St. Bonaventure, tallying the game-winner in the 69th minute.
At River Hill
Lewis was a letter winner in three sports at River Hill HS, earning three letters in soccer, track and lacrosse. As captain of her soccer team during her junior and senior years, she was named to the all-county, all-metro and all-state teams. Lewis was a national Wendy’s High School Heisman nominee who led her club team to the state championship in 2003 and 2004.
Personal
Kara Michelle Lewis is the daughter of Tim and Margaret Lewis. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
