Biography

Senior Season — 2017
Weikert was one of the team's primary center midfielders, starting in 12 games of the team's 14 games while also making one appearance as a reserve. She had one assist, making a perfectly timed and weighted service from the middle third into the path of Paige DeLoach's breakaway run in the home opener on Sept. 3 against Eastern Washington. Weikert took six shots, including two that were on target.

Junior Season — 2016
Weikert appeared in 10 games and made one start for the Big Red, playing a total of 212 minutes. She took one shot toward goal while playing primarily out of the midfield.

Sophomore Season — 2015
Weikert played in all 17 of the Big Red's games, earning 11 starts. While continuing to play in her familiar role in the central midfield, she also proved to be versatile when shifted to the flank or as a forward. She came on particularly strong in the second half of the season, taking nine shots and forcing five saves from the opposition.

Freshman Season — 2014
Weikert appeared in 14 games, including five starts, primarily in the midfield. She took six shots toward goal, forcing three saves from opposing goalkeepers.

Prior to Cornell
Weikert joins the Big Red after helping Ohio Premier advance to the 2014 national finals in the Elite Clubs National League. She is ranked the #63 recruit in the country by TopDrawerSoccer.com, #21 among midfielders and #7 among players in the Great Lakes Region. She was recognized on the 2011 All Event Team at ECNL National Showcase Event in Sanford Florida, and she also participated in the Olympic Development Program on the Ohio South State Team and Region II Camp from 2007-2010. At Columbus Academy, she was selected to play in the 2013 High School All American Game. She was named to the all-state team twice, all-district team three times and was tabbed the Mid State League Player of the Year twice. Her team won two district championships and appeared in a third final.

Personal
Katerina Ann Weikert is the daughter of Tim and Julia Weikert, and she has a sister. She is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
