Freshman Season - 2008
MacDonald appeared in four games on the year. She made her collegiate debut on Sept. 28 at Colgate, and picked up her first career shot on Oct. 18 against Yale.

Before Cornell
MacDonald helped her team at Georgetown Visitation HS to an Independent School League championship in 2007 and a berth in the ISL tournament finals that same season. She was named the team captain as a senior. She played her club soccer with Reston FC, the same club as fellow incoming players Brook Chang and Abigail Apistolas, helping her team to the Virginia state championship in 2004, the finals in 2007 and the semifinals of the state cup in 2005 and 2007. She also helped Reston F.C. to the finals of the Disney Showcase and the San Diego Surf Cup in 2006. MacDonald was also a member of the Virginia Olympic Development Program team in 2003 and the Virginia Northern District team that same season.

Personal
Kelsey MacDonald is the daughter of Tri and Marianne MacDonald, and she has a younger brother and sister. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell.
