As a graduate student (2021)
• Appeared in five games and started three in her final season with the Big Red.
• Named one of two captains for the 2021 season.
• Attempted one shot.
As a senior (2020)
• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Named team's lone representative to Academic All-Ivy League team.
As a junior (2019)
• Logged 123 minutes exclusively as a reserve over 10 games, primarily in the defensive midfield.
As a sophomore (2018)
• Appeared in all but one of team's 15 games, including 11 starts.
• Logged 842 minutes with primary roles on the back line and in the defensive midfield.
As a freshman (2017)
• Led all freshmen with 813 minutes played, appearing in all but two of squad's games and making eight starts.
• Quickly inserted into Big Red's back-line equation, emerging as favored option in central defense.
Prior to Cornell
• Competed on club level with FC Wisconsin Eclipse, helping squad reach finals of ECNL North American Cup in 2015,
• Named to Midwest Region top 20 recruiting list by Top Drawer Soccer from 2013 to 2016.
• Invited to participate in ECNL Midwest North Player Development Program.
• Valedictorian at Slinger HS
• Member of National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society.
Personal
• Madeline Gretta Hoitink is the daughter of Chad and Kristen Hoitink, and she has two younger brothers and a younger sister.
• Father was four-year letter winner on the football team at Yale.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
