Biography
Senior Season — 2017
Dheer started six games and appeared in all but two of the Big Red's contests. She recorded her second career assist when her cross in a Sept. 8 game at Buffalo was headed in by Shelby Wray. Her four shots on goal were tied for second-most on the team.
Junior Season — 2016
Dheer made 14 appearances as a reserve, totaling 341 minutes for the season. She had four shots, forcing one save from opposing goalkeepers.
Sophomore Season — 2015
Dheer appeared in all 17 of the Big Red's game as a part of the forward rotation. She earned a pair of starts along the way and logged 426 minutes. Her seven shots on goal were tied for fourth on the team.
Freshman Season — 2014
Dheer was one of just four players to appear in all 17 games for the Big Red, primarily as a reserve on the forward flank. Her first career goal came late in the first half Oct. 3 against Penn in the form of a long-range looping shot over the goalkeeper. The strike gave the Big Red a 3-0 lead at the time and proved to be the game winner. Dheer's one assist on the season also came in Ivy League play, setting up Kerry Schubert for a goal Nov. 1 against Princeton. With three points, she was the leading scorer among Big Red freshmen.
Prior to Cornell
Dheer played her club soccer for the NY Rush Patriots, helping the squad win the 2012 Disney Soccer Showcase Champions. The team also won the 2013 WAGS Soccer Showcase championship, 2013 and 2014 PDA Soccer Showcase championships, and 2014 NY Cup championship. In all, Dheer played six years within the New York State Olympic Development Program.
Personal
Meera Dheer is the daughter of Sanjeev and Prema Dheer, and she has a sister. Her mother was a fellow at Weill Medical College. She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
