Freshman Season — 2012
Manning worked her way onto the field for two games as a freshman, appearing Sept. 9 at Albany and Oct. 2 vs. Lafayette.
Prior to Cornell
Manning was a versatile member of the team at ThunderRidge HS, serving as captain for the final two years of her four years on the squad. She was named the rookie of the year as a freshman, then earned all-league honorable mention as a sophomore. She garnered first-team all-league honors as a defender for her junior campaign, then transitioned to the forward ranks to earn all-league second-team honors as a senior. Manning competed with Real Colorado in the Elite Clubs National League, which won the State Cup and regional championship in 2010. She is also a three-year member of the National Honor Society and was the valedictorian at ThunderRidge.
Personal
Michelle Fae Manning is the daughter of Chad and Faith Atkins, and she has a younger sister. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
