Fahr was a four-time letter winner in squash at Winsor School and was team captain.

Ashley Fahr is the daughter of Ali and Shifteh Fahr and has an older sister. Her sister, Yasmin, is a 2005 Cornell graduate. Fahr is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
