Biography
As a senior (2019-20)
• Shared squash team's everyday role at the Nos. 3 and 4 positions with classmate Madison Miles, posting a 4-13 record.
• One of team's three representatives at the CSA National Collegiate Individual Championships, advancing into the quarterfinals of the Holleran Trophy East bracket.
• Rallied to win in extra points of a fifth game in her last collegiate match, helping team a win over Brown in the Kurtz Cup consolation final.
• Did not rejoin the lacrosse team prior to the end of the season.
As a junior (2018-19)
• Competed in all but one squash match, posting a 6-11 record from the Nos. 3, 4 and 5 positions.
• Debuted by winning lone showcase court appearances, rallying to defeat opponent from Williams in four games on Nov. 17.
• Three of six victories came in five games, including decisions against George Washington on Jan. 25 and Brown on Feb. 2 as part of three-match winning streak.
• Won two of three matches at Kurtz Cup, which Cornell won.
• Made her first varsity appearance for the Big Red women's lacrosse team in a win over Binghamton, earning a ground ball win.
As a sophomore (2017-18)
• Competed in all but one of team's matches from the Nos. 5, 6 and 7 positions, recording a 9-8 record.
• Went on a four-match winning streak in the middle of the season, including a three-game victory at No. 7 to help the Big Red to a pivotal 5-4 victory over Drexel on Jan. 31.
• Won three of four matches before the semester break.
• Victorious in two of seven Ivy League matches, including a five-game affair against an opponent from Brown on Feb. 3.
As a freshman (2016-17)
• Worked her way into four matches in the bottom third of the order, winning three.
• Debuted with victories against opponents from Williams and Dickinson in the Cornell Round Robin.
• Earned first victory in Ivy League competition on Jan. 15 against Brown.
Prior to Cornell
• Ranked as high as 31st nationally in the US Squash GU19 Division competing out of the Philadelphia Squash Racquets Association.
• Competed for five years with Episcopal Academy, earning all-league first team honors after her senior season.
• Also played field hockey and lacrosse and was EA's 2016 recipient of the Inter-Ac Athletic Director's Award, which is given annually to a multi-sport athlete based on their dedication to their team and school, demonstration of leadership and sportsmanship.
• Earned multiple all-league and all-area awards in lacrosse, where she was also a US Lacrosse Academic All-American.n
Personal
• Colby McKenna Gallagher is the daughter of Terry and Beth Gallagher, and she has two sisters and one brother.
• Also competes on the women's lacrosse team at Cornell.
• Older sister, Taryn, competed on the lacrosse team at Yale.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
