Biography
Senior Season — 2014-15Seginson posted a 10-7 record and finished the season ranked 86th in the country by the College Squash Association. Competing exclusively from the three middle positions in the order, Seginson was 9-6 from the No. 5 spot. Just two of her 17 matches on the season went beyond the minimum three sets — both five-set losses to Yale's Shiyuan Mao. Seginson was 3-4 in Ivy League play, with victories over opponents from Columbia, Brown and Dartmouth. For a third consecutive season, Seginson qualified for the second-flight Holleran Division of the CSA Individual Championships. She defeated Hamilton's Rachel Newman in the first round before being eliminated by Princeton's Kira Keating.
Junior Season — 2013-14Seginson wrapped up the season ranked 47th in the nation by the College Squash Assocation, which was fourth-best on the Big Red. She was 5-6 on the year, competing anywhere from the No. 1 position all the way down to a pair of appearances at No. 8 — but most of her matches came somewhere in the middle. Seginson had five wins in a six-match stretch from Jan. 13 to Feb. 7, including a five-game triumph over Trinity's Chanel Erasmus. She was 2-3 in Ivy League matches, including victories against Dartmouth's Katherine Nimmo and Penn's Camille Lanier from the No. 4 position. Seginson then went on to compete in the Holleran Division (for seeds 33-80) at the CSA Individual Championships, where she started with a three-game victory over Stanford's Serena Fagan in the Round of 16 before being eliminated in the quarterfinals.
Sophomore Season — 2012-13Seginson went 5-5 after her return to action Jan. 27, including a five-game Ivy League victory against Penn's Carey Celata on Feb. 10. That match was at the No. 8 position, where Seginson appeared in eight of her 10 matches. She also had a three-game sweep of Sarah Haig on Feb. 16 in the consolation semifinals of the Howe Cup, helping the Big Red to a 5-4 win over Stanford and the No. 6 national ranking for a second straight season. Seginson then qualified for the Holleran Division of the College Squash Association Individual Championships, defeating Columbia's Alisha Maity and Trinity's Katiria Sanchez to reach the Round of 16. She finished the season ranked 74th in the country by the CSA.
Freshman Season — 2011-12Seginson posted a 5-2 record in her collegiate debut, competing exclusively at the No. 4 spot in November and January. Her first match was particularly impressive — a three-set victory over Kathryn Corelli of rival Stanford on Nov. 19.
Prior to CornellSeginson won a gold medal with Team British Columbia at the Canada Winter Games. She was a four-year competitor for Stelly's Secondary School.
PersonalLindsay Marie Seginson is the daughter of Roderick and Shannon Seginson and has an older brother. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
