Biography
As a senior (2019-20)
• One of team's three representatives at the CSA National Collegiate Individual Championships, competing in the Holleran Trophy South bracket.
• One of three Cornell competitors to win each of three matches at Kurtz Cup, including a five-game decision in the finale against Brown.
• Served as team tri-captain.
• Posted a 7-9 record from the Nos. 6, 7 and 8 positions.
• Shared team's Match of the Season award by staving off an opponent from Drexel to win a fifth game in extra points on Jan. 19.
• Shared team's sportsmanship award with classmate Madison Miles.
• Finished collegiate career with a 30-36 record in team matches.
As a junior (2018-19)
• Competed in all but one match, posting a 7-10 record from the Nos. 6 and 7 positions.
• Won six of season's final nine matches, including two of three contests at the Kurtz Cup — which Cornell won.
• Defeated opponents from Brown and Penn to record two victories in Ivy League play.
• Won both of season's five-game matches.
As a sophomore (2017-18)
• Qualified for the College Squash Association National Individual Championships.
• Led the team with 11 victories against seven losses while competing in all of the team's 18 dual matches, primarily at the No. 8 position.
• Only member of the squad to post a winning record in Ivy League play, going 4-3 with victories over opponents from Columbia, Dartmouth, Brown and Penn.
• Started the season strong with four straight victories and seven wins in her first eight matches.
As a freshman (2016-17)
• 5-6 from the bottom half of the order in collegiate debut, winning four of her first five matches in January.
• Recorded a five-game victory over an opponent from Columbia in Ivy League debut.
• Wrapped up the season with a win in a rematch against the same opponent from the Lions, helping the Big Red clinch the match in the seventh-place playoff at the Howe Cup.
Prior to Cornell
• Final GU19 Division national ranking of 20th and Junior Girls ranking of 40th before joining the Big Red.
• Alongside brother, served as co-captain of a unique coed team at Packer Collegiate Institute that typically competed against boys' teams.
• Helped the squad finish ninth in the boys division at the US Squash High School Nationals in 2015.
• Four-time recipient of US Squash Scholar Athlete Award.
Personal
• Lucy Casey Martin is the daughter of Andrew Martin and LisaMarie Casey, and she has one brother.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
