Biography
At Cornell:
Barnes will serve as co-captain during her junior year. She will have a big challenge on her hands as she is the only junior on the team and has the task of leading a young team. As a sophomore, she played in the No. 4 spot in the lineup and had a 7-7 record. Barnes competed in the CSA Individual Championships. She had a good tournament and had an individual year end ranking of No. 71. She has the potential to move up in the team lineup and to excel in her individual play.
Personal:
Mairin Howley Barnes is the daughter of Paul and Karen Barnes. Her brother, Paul, plays lacrosse for Princeton. Barnes is majoring in art history and is enrolled in Cornell's College of Arts and Sciences.
