Junior Season — 2011-12
Chirls appeared in one match for the Big Red, handily defeating an opponent from St. Lawrence, 11-3, 11-0, 11-2, in the No. 9 position of a Dec. 3 match.
Before Cornell
As a member of The Heights Casino in Brooklyn, Chirls played junior tournaments throughout high school. She transferred to Cornell after spending her freshman year at Duke, which has no squash program.
Personal
Sydney Chirls is the daughter of David and the late Catherine Chirls and has one older and one younger brother. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
