As a junior (2017-18)

• Saw action in two dual meets before missing the rest of the season.
• Had top-five finishes in the 200 back and 1,000 free against Harvard.
• Was sixth in the 200 back and swam on both the 200 medley and 400 free relays vs. MIT.
 

As a sophomore (2016-17)

• Had the team's top time om the season in the 500 free (4:56.42).
• Scored in the 500 free and the 1650 free at the Ivy League Championships.
• Won the 100 free and the 200 butterfly in the dual meet win over St. Bonaventure.
• Took second in both the 200 and 500 free at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational.
 

As a freshman (2015-16)

• Scored in both the 500 and 1650 free at her first 2016 Ivy League Championships.
• Her time of 4:54.85 in the 500 free ranks fifth all-time at Cornell.
• Posted the eighth-fastest time in school history in the 1650 free in 17:04.74.
• Swam the second leg on the 800 free relay team that recorded the second-fastest time ever at Cornell in 7:30.90.
• Had six top three individual dual meet finishes on the season.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Four-time all-league choice at Dana Hall School, including a two-time league MVP.
• Captained the team as a junior and senior.
• Three-time recipient of the NEPSAC Grace Robertson Award for Outstanding Student-Athlete in the league.
• Helped team to two New England Prep School championships and five league titles.
• Also played field hockey and ran cross country.
 

Personal

• Abigail Georgianna Benkert is the daughter of John and Kelly Benkert and has two younger sisters.
• She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
