Biography
As a freshman (2019-20)
• Competed at eight meets for the Big Red during freshman campaign.
• Recorded a lifetime personal-best in the 200-freestyle (2:00.60) at Akron’s Zippy Invitational.
• Added a collegiate personal-best in the 100-freestyle (54.62) at the Zippy Invitational.
• Posted a collegiate personal-best in the 50-freestyle (24.42) at Cornell’s Ivy League dual against Brown.
• Tallied a pair of top-five individual finishes in the 50-freestyle over the course of the season, placing fourth against St. Bonaventure and fifth against Binghamton.
Prior to Cornell
• Four-year letterman on the swim team at Cape Elizabeth HS.
• Helped her team to three-consecutive State Championships in 2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19.
• Swam on the 200 free, 200 medley, and 400 free relays that were crowned state champions and set state records.
• Was a 200 freestyle relay All-American in 2018-19.
• Individually, was crowned the 50 Freestyle State Champion in 2018.
• Named to the Maine State All-Star Team in 2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19.
• Earned NISCA All-America Academic distinction in 2018-19.
• Competed on the club stage for the Southern Maine Aquatic Club.
Personal
• Alicia Nicole Lawrence is the daughter of Patrick and Lisa Lawrence and has one older sister.
• Also on the women's rowing team at Cornell.
• She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
