At Cornell
Douglas carried over the momentum from the previous season into her junior campaign. On the team’s season’s best time list, Douglas was sixth in the 200 IM; fifth in the 400 IM; fourth in the 100 breast and third  in the 200 breast. She qualified for her third Ivy League Championship team. On Cornell’s all-time top times list, Douglas is 10th in the 200 breaststroke; ninth in the 100 breaststroke and seventh in the 400 IM. For the 2014-15 season, she has been elected one of two team captains. Douglas’ second year with the Big Red was a breakthrough season. She competed for the Cornell women primarily in the 200 IM, 400 IM and 200 fly. In each of those events, she ranked high on the season’s best times. Douglas was sixth in the 200 fly, fourth in the 200 IM and third in the 400 IM. More significantly – Douglas’ performances placed her on the team’s career top 10 list at eighth in the 200 IM and fourth in the 400 IM. For a second season, Douglas competed at the Ivy League Championships.

Prior to Cornell
A four-time state champion at St. Mary Academy Bay View, Douglas was named the Rhode Island Interscholastic League Female Swimmer of the Year 2011. She won three state titles in the 200 fly (2008, 2010 and 2011) and captured the 200 IM as a senior (2011). Douglas was a three-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American who earned eight all-state accolades. She was named the Bay View Invitational outstanding swimmer in her class all four seasons and served as team captain in her final season. Swimming club for the Crimson Aquatics, she qualified for the short course nationals in the 400 IM and 200 fly and the 200 fly at the NSCA Junior Nationals. She was part of the 400 medley relay team that set a meet record at the Speedo Sectionals, qualifying her for nationals.

Personal
Bethany Paige Douglas is the daughter of Peter and Ruth Douglas and has an older sister, Marissa, who swims at Stevens Institute of Technology. Bethany is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
