As a senior (2015-16)
• Served as a team tri-captain as a senior.
• Twice lowered the school record in the 200 butterfly, the last time after finishing 15th at the 2016 Ivy League Championships in 2:02.23.
• Also scored with a 16th-place effort in the 200 IM and a 20th-place finish in the 100 fly.
• Was part of the 400 medley relay team that swam the eighth-fastest time in school history.
• Won both the 200 fly and 200 IM races at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational.
• Finished first in the 50 free in a dual meet against Binghamton and in the 100 breast against Colgate.
• Had the team’s fastest time in the 200 fly, the second-fastest in the 200 IM and the third-fastest in the 100 fly.
As a junior (2014-15)
• Zhang ranks second all-time in the 200 butterfly, third in the 200 IM and fourth in the 200 IM.
• She scored in the 200 fly with a 13th place finish, the 200 free (22nd overall) and the 200 IM (23rd overall) at the Ivy League championship.
• She was part of the third leg of the 800 free relay squad that posted the second-fastest time in school history.
• Zhang shared the Hardest Worker Award with teammate Currie Murch Elliot.
• She won the 100 free at the Bomber Invitational in 53.56.
• Zhang took second in the 200 fly against Harvard and Dartmouth.
• Elected a tri-captain for the 2015-16 campaign.
As a sophomore (2013-14)
• Zhang contributed another solid season to the Big Red, scoring valuable points while competing in freestyle, butterfly and IM.
• She once again was selected for the Ivy League Championship team.
• On the season’s best times list, Zhang was ranked first in the 200 butterfly; second in the 200 IM; third in the 200 freestyle and sixth in the 100 butterfly.
• On Cornell’s all-time top 10 list she is ranked second in the 200 butterfly, third in the 200 IM and the 200 freestyle and fourth in the 400 IM.
• In addition, she is a member of the school record 800 freestyle relay.
As a freshman (2012-13)
• Zhang provided the Cornell team with versatility and toughness throughout the 2012-13 season.
• She competed in 200 and 500 free, the 100 and 200 butterfly and the 200 and 400 IM.
• On the season’s best time list, Zhang ranked sixth in the 500 free, third in the 100 fly, third in the 200 IM, second in the 400 IM, first in the 200 free and first in the 200 fly.
• She represented Cornell as a member of Cornell’s Ivy League Championship meet team.
• On the women’s career top 10 list, Zhang is ranked 10th in the 100 fly, fourth in the 200 IM, third in the 400 IM, third in the 200 free and second in the 200 fly
Prior to Cornell
• Zhang was a two-year captain and the four-year high point winner at the county high school meet at Centennial HS.
• She was a part of the All-Maryland team throughout high school.
• A three-time scholastic All-American, Zhang competed on the Eagle Swim Team during her club career.
Personal
• Jennifer Yuhong Zhang is the daughter of Yiqiang and Chune Yang and has an older brother, Yuchi, who competed on the swimming team at Penn.
• She is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
